Nusa Dua Beach

Nusa Dua is one of the elite resort area in Bali with international class located in Badung Regency, south part of Bali Island. Nusa Dua Area has an area of approximately 350 ha and appointed as a pilot area for other tourist destination in Indonesia which also become a pride for Balinese people. This area is one of the best resort areas in the world and blessed by the beautiful white sandy beach stretching along the coastline and the calm waves that is ideally for swimming, recreations, and relax together with your families. Nusa Dua Story

The name of Nusa Dua Beach is actually derived from the name of two small islands in southern part of Bali Island separated by white sand (Nusa means island and Dua means Two). From this name, the elite resort of Nusa Dua’s name is taken. This area was built in 1974, as a result study from France’s consultant, SCETO (Societe Centrale  pour l’equpeent Touristique Outre-Mer) in 1970 and also feasibility study conducted by PCI (Pacific Consultant  International ) in year 1971 – 1973 by founding aid from world bank. The government was gave this area to BTDC (Bali Tourism Development Corporation ) that is established under the regulation of Indonesian Republic  Government  no 27, 1972 on 12 November 1972.

Facilities

This area has the most complete tourist facilities in Bali including in Indonesia such as accommodations/hotel with 5 star level in total of 11 unites with 3875 rooms. In addition to this, this area also completed by international restaurants, sports facilities like Nusa Dua Bali Golf and Country Club, shopping center and others. In 1981, the Garuda Indonesia Airways as the first investor in Nusa Dua was built Nusa Dua Beach Hotel. The next investors come in 1983 to build the Club Med Hotel, Melia Bali Sol and Inna Putri Bali Hotel. Subsequently in 1987, the Sheraton Nusa Indah (now was changed into The Westin Resort), Sheraton Laguna (now changed into The Laguna Resort), Geleria Nusa Dua (now has been changed into Nusa Dua Collection), Grant Hyatt, Bali Hilton (Now has been changed into The Ayodya Resort) and golf course. With its facilities, Nusa Dua Tourism Zone has successes to grab 22 – 44 percent from tourists who come to Bali.
